The Pebble Beach Company Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning Human Resource strategies and practices with the Pebble Beach Company business objectives and culture, and to be a strategic partner to Pebble Beach Company Leaders and Employees.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with Pebble Beach Company Leaders and Employees
- Embrace Pebble Beach Company culture and ensure PBC Leaders and Employees act as brand ambassadors
- Encourage and champion diversity, equity and inclusion
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain compliance and management of Collective Bargaining Agreement; and provide interpretation guidance to PBC Leaders and Employees
- Assist in development, implementation, and adherence to Company policies and procedures
- Coach and guide PBC Leaders and Employees in employee relations and performance issues
- Investigate and resolve employee complaints
- Identify training, coaching and development needs
- Collaborate with Learning and Development Manager and facilitate various trainings as needed
- Educate, mentor and partner with PBC Leaders in ongoing talent management and goal development for departments and employees
- Understand and regularly assess compensation structure to ensure PBC remains current and competitive
- Understand the staffing needs and play active role in recruiting
- Participate in planning and execution of all Pebble Beach Company Employee Events – Actively communicate and promote throughout the resort
- Participate in planning and execution of Pebble Beach Company Employee Rewards and Recognition Programs– Actively communicate and promote throughout the resort
- Conduct exit interviews and strategize action steps from feedback / Process final paperwork
- Support and assist HR team in areas of expertise when needed
- Understanding of all PBC Human Resources processes and programs and provide ongoing education or direction as needed
- Understanding of all PBC Employee Benefits and provide ongoing education as needed
Required Skills:

- Proven knowledge of Human Resource industry practices
- Strong business acumen
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and/or relevant experience
- 5-10 years’ experience in Human Resources, plus 3 years Hospitality experience
- Knowledge of federal and California employment law and regulations
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually
- Ability to manage/consult successfully at all levels within an organization
- Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently

Desired Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
- SHRM certification.
- Proven knowledge and work experience in a union environment.
