Position Description
The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including new hire onboarding, benefits administration, HR systems/software management, HR compliance reporting, assistance with training programs, and various administrative tasks to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources department.
Top 5 Responsibilities
Primary Duties:
• Provide the new hire onboarding for new employees.
• Enroll new hires into all applicable software systems.
• Introduce new members to the different departments, employees, and processes. Follow up frequently to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
• Organize and update employee files
• Audit files for required documents (signed policy docs, current DL, emergency contact forms, W4 tax info, etc.)
• Manage and update EEO & VETS reporting requirements
• Manage and update 401k information for compliance and for annual audit
• Manage W2 binders and other employee tax documents that require retention.
• Maintain employee information and updates in Sage Payroll, Workmax, Ease, and FitThumb
• Maintain various HR systems/software to include: Workmax, Sage Payroll, Ease, Beta Health, Alerus, UMB HSA, E-Verify, CO New hire, Trakstar, and FitThumb.
• Assist in developing employee training programs.
• Reviews, tracks, documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti- harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams/certifications.
• Manage the maintenance of the performance management system, including job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
• Communicate between Management and various team members to set times and dates for training and relay issues with timelines or budgets to their supervisor.
• Order employee benefits manuals and packets as needed
• Prepare new hire orientation packets
• Assist with annual open enrollments for benefits, H.S.A. and 401k
• Update company employee list and forms on company intranet
• Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• Assists with planning and execution of special events such as organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and retirement celebrations.
• Provide backup, if needed, to the Payroll Specialist in the processing of weekly payroll
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• HR Certification strongly preferred (PHR, SHRM-CP)
• Prior related office experience required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Range: $33.65 - $43.27 Hourly
