To find out more about our commitment to sustainability and about Amcor, visit www.amcor.com.  Job Description Human Resources Representative Salary Grade: 14 Basic Function Responsible for the administration of plant human resources activities, for all hourly, non-exempt positions, including: recruiting, interviewing, hiring, administering employee benefits programs, conducting employee orientations, maintaining personnel records, processing weekly payroll and maintenance of attendance records. Administer policies and programs to create positive employee relations and maintain a non-union status. In some cases, assist in telephone/receptionist duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure Kronos & Ultipro payroll records are accurate and process the weekly hourly payroll. Resolve payroll issues with Corporate Payroll Department. Assist with employee engagement committees including planning and execution of events. Recruit, interview, and recommend candidates for hourly, non-exempt positions at the plant level. Follow all company procedures and guidelines for selection of hourly paid job vacancies. Work closely with plant management to plan for staffing changes. Facilitate weekly review of all contingent labor needs and hourly shift and job transfers. Manage contingent labor process with vendors from requisition to hire, to end of assignment. Conduct new hire Orientation by reviewing New hire paperwork, company policies and procedures, benefits programs and plant practices to assure full understanding of the conditions and benefits of employment. Responsible for completing and maintaining all required paperwork and documentation required by the Company or governmental agencies. Maintain all hourly personnel files and HRIS records in an organized, accurate and up-to-date manner. This includes self-audits of all files, records and reports to insure accuracy and compliance with all legal requirements. Administer benefits programs by explaining standard plan documents and working with the Corporate Benefits and Gallagher 3rd party benefits advocacy to resolve benefit problems. Administer short/long term disability benefit plans ensuring employee documentation is complete and follow-up with employees on status of their return to work. Conduct benefit communication sessions and assist with annual and new hire benefits enrollment. Identify and coordinate healthy lifestyle programs at the plant. Monitor and maintain accurate information in Kronos Time Collection System and Attendance Tracker. Monitor and maintain employee attendance records and associated corrective actions through Kronos system, ensuring consistency with the Attendance Policy. Ensure hourly employee reviews are completed in timely manner. Administer job posting procedure for hourly positions to ensure fairness and equity. Maintain close contact with all employees to maintain an accurate sense of employee morale and attitudes. This requires the incumbent to work flexible hours. Follows up with employee questions in a timely manner. Investigate employee concerns utilizing the investigation process and provide managers with guidance toward resolution of the complaint or disposition of the suggestion. Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to HIPPA but in all matters relating to compensation, employee files, discipline, HR processes etc. Encourage a safe work environment and communicate safety concerns to appropriate managers. Execute month end Headcount report and hours update for HR Score Card & A3 tracking. Assist Human Resources Manager with other duties and tasks as required, including leading employee relations activities, investigations, and focus groups. Stay abreast of current developments in employee relations and/or legal requirements through readings, professional associations, and seminars. Maintain legal compliance posts for state and federal labor laws. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred. Associates Degree or ability obtain degree with relative experience will be considered for the right candidate. Three to five years experience in a human resources department in a manufacturing environment, or other leadership roles is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as conflict-resolution skills, are essential. Proficient computer skills are necessary to be successful in Office 365 platform, and HRIS/Timekeeping/Payroll Systems. Good organizational/time management skills and proficiency in various computer software programs is essential. Decision-making skills, along with ability to understand pertinent laws, are critical. Level of Authority Incumbent has the right to hold for inspection any product he/she feels does not meet customer/company specifications. HR Representative must be able to present facts for decision making for the team. HR Representative can make recommendations for policy adherence. Exceptions to policy will be approved by HR Manager or Plant Manager.
