Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Generalist at PennPac Company in Manheim, PA. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for managing HR policies, employee benefits administration, and maintaining HR management practices. The role will involve overseeing and implementing HR programs, conducting employee onboarding and offboarding, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Experience with understanding warehousing and/or manufacturing type facilities is preferred.
PennPac has a second facility in the Greenville, SC area and travel to this location will be required - on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
· Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information - at all times.
· Maintain employee records – Vacation/Attendance/Insurance/etc.
· Must support Leadership Team with business development and strategic goals.
· Possess the ability to multi-task and quickly change and execute priorities.
· Work with attention to detail either independently, or as a member of a team.
· Ability to partner, influence, and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
· Coordinate and facilitate all aspects employee onboarding and separation activities.
· Act as point of contact for employee benefit related questions or concerns. New Hire Orientation as well.
· Assist and/or oversee ADP time management payroll software.
· Develop and maintain all federal, state, and local compliance. To include ADA/EEO/etc. PA and SC specifically.
· Have working knowledge of Unemployment Compensation and Workers Compensation requirements.
· Assist with policy development, education, and maintenance. Strong public speaking/presentation skills required.
· Engage with legal guidance when necessary.
· Conduct recruitment efforts when new talent is needed within the organization.
· Build on existing platform to create a robust HR system.
· Collaborate with Food Safety/Quality Manager to develop and deploy effective and consistent training program(s).
· Create and implement employee programs to enhance relationships and organizational development.
· Participate in performance related meetings.
· Perform other duties as required.
This position will require a Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years of HR experience. Or, a satisfactory combination of education and experience. A Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is preferred. Experience and interaction with the SHRM is preferred. Engagement and representation at local chapter meetings encouraged.
