Position: Human Resources Generalist
Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will have the role of completing functions to support the Human Resource department. Responsibilities include the full HR lifecycle: talent attraction, hiring, training and development, employee engagement and performance, compensation and benefits and off boarding. This position provides advice and guidance to all employees and provides general human resources administration support to all regions.
Essential Functions
- Key resource for the employees regarding the information and administration of the Company’s group insurance benefits and policies
- Administer new hire orientation, including all onboarding responsibilities, while ensuring corresponding processes are completed in a timely manner
- Supports positive employee relations by providing advice and guidance regarding policies
- Assists with resolving employee relations issues by investigating questions and/or concerns
- Participates in employee disciplinary meetings and investigations as necessary
- Ensures staffing remains at optimal levels by coordinating with Operations
- Coordinates and communicates hourly staffing changes within all regions, including open positions, promotions, layoffs, pay rate changes, etc.
- Assists with administering employee programs: referral program, suggestion program, etc
- Completes all verifications of employment
- Responds to and inputs all support orders timely, ensuring validity
- Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; and responding in a timely manner
- Administers health and welfare plans including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Facilitates the entire recruiting lifecycle: job postings, reviewing applications, phone screens, coordinating with managers, extending job offers and triggering the onboarding process
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
- Serves as a backup for the payroll process
- Trains employees and managers on HR related policies and procedures
- Acts as liaison between employee, insurance providers and broker to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations
- All other duties as assigned
