Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will work in a team environment where they are responsible for a variety of tasks supporting a growing and complex business structure with multiple entities. The goal of Human Resources is to help strengthen our culture through support and care of our biggest asset – our people. This position will partner with business operations to administer pay, benefits, and leave, as well as enforce company policies, practices, and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, payroll, benefits, and leave.

Assists employees through all phases of employment to include completing hire in system, updating status changes and off-boarding.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and/or supervisors, engaging VP of HR on complex and/or sensitive matters.

Builds and maintains relationships with vendors the organization partners with which may include those who assist the organization with recruiting, worker’s compensation, and/or benefits.

Assists with managing benefits on behalf of the organization to include providing input into overall strategy, maintaining vendor relationships, auditing billing to ensure accuracy, completing funding transactions as appropriate and ensuring ACA compliance.

Responsible for responding to required regulatory asks such as ACA, PBJ, OSHA, BLS, EEOC, WOTC and New Hire.

Assists leaders to mitigate risk by educating leaders on employment laws including OSHA, ADA, EEOC, FLSA, Title VII, FMLA, etc.

Assists managing worker’s compensation, working with operations to maintain a safe work environment and maintaining OSHA records.

Participates in mock surveys as appropriate to help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Partners with operations on employee engagement.

Responsible for completing employee eligibility verifications upon request and runs DMV reports for all driving positions.

Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims, substantiating documentation, retrieving additional information requested by adjudicators and processing UEC Wage Verification/Eligibility Report (UCB-23).

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Manages our learning management system, assigning required classes and maintaining vendor relationship.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or equivalent experience.

HR Certification preferred (SHRM-CP and/or PHR).
