HVAC Mechanic performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Mechanic follows blueprints or engineering specifications to install units. Performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of problems. Additionally, HVAC Mechanic maintains and secures a spare parts inventory. Recommends purchasing maintenance equipment and supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies. Typically requires an apprenticeship and/or completion of technical training. Requires a high school diploma. The regulations governing the location may require an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The HVAC Mechanic works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are a busy Repossession and Transport company looking for a full or part-time mechanic to assist with keeping our fleet moving. Our shop is equipped with all equipment to adequately maintain a growing fleet of vehicles.
Description: Mechanic is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles in our fleet
Qualifications:
* Self-starter with positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
* Reliable, team player
* Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
* Able to problem solve and determine solutions to issues as they arise
* Preferred knowledge of gas and diesel engines
* Preferred knowledge on use of tire and balance machines
* Preferred knowledge of current technology and able to use diagnostic equipment
* Preferred knowledge of Ford vehicles
* Pass a background check and drug screen
Duties include:
* Routine inspection and maintenance on all company vehicles which include but are not limited to oil changes, brakes, tires etc
* Investigating issues and diagnose problems as notated by drivers
* Research parts for best pricing
* Keep an accurate log of all work performed per vehicle using company chosen program
* Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
* Adhere to company safety policies
Hours:
Monday-Friday 9a-5p
Pay is bi-weekly
