HVAC Supervisor supervises and coordinates the operations, maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. Oversees the installation of new units and replacement parts and ensures work is completed according to company, product, or engineering specifications and established safety guidelines. Being an HVAC Supervisor conducts quality testing and inspections. May authorize equipment, supplies, parts, or repairs purchases. Additionally, HVAC Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Requires an HVAC Mechanical State License and EPA Section 608 Certification (CFC). Typically reports to a manager. The HVAC Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an HVAC Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Requirements for this position are: CFC universal certificate, 5 years of experience as HVAC/Refrigeration mechanic, hospital experience preferible,
Familiar with Building Automation System BMS,
Able to perform preventive maintanance to HVAC and refrigeration equipment,
Flexible to work different shifts,
Available to respond to emergency situation,
Available to work as general maintenance mechanic to cover shifts,
NJ valid refrigeration license preferable,
