Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Job Description:

    Duties will include making and installing hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies, bend and shape sheet metal, and light fabrication including welding/burning.

    The in-person interview session will be held on April 15th, 2024 if selected.

    Work Environment:

    * Able to work inside/outside and be on your feet daily

    * Must be committed to working safely and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

    * Environment: Shop/Yard

    * Work on and around heavy equipment

    Minimum Qualification:

    • High School/GED
    • 21 years of age or older
    • Read and understand schematic drawings

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
    • Be familiar with operation of hose crimper, tube bender, flaring machine, and pipe threading machine.
    • Be able to diagnose, replace and make repairs on equipment and components where needed.
    • Interpret drawings to fabricate components as tasked.
    • Be familiar with repair shop equipment and tools.
    • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
    • Be able to work with other craft employees to complete work safely and efficiently.
    • Have at least 3 years experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics as it applies to machinery and heavy equipment.
