Summit Design and Engineering Services is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to lead and assist in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for Infrastructure design projects.

There is potential to work out of another Summit office besides Raleigh, NC. The successful candidate for this position will receive a signing bonus equal to 10% of the annual salary given.

Skills and Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3 years of progressive hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design experience
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina or ability to obtain within one year.
• Knowledge of and experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling with step backwater programs (HEC-RAS) and knowledge of FEMA requirements.
• Experience in Drainage design and Erosion Control design.
• Experience with Microstation, Open Roads Designer, or Civil3D.
• Willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• DOT (any state) design experience.
• Municipal stormwater system modeling experience
• 2D hydraulic modeling experience.
• BMP Inspection and Design Experience.
• CFM Certification.
• Interaction with clients and public agencies will be required periodically.
• Survey experience and data management
• Local candidates preferred
