    Experience: To qualify as a Mission Support Specialist, GS-0301-11, you must possess at least one (1) year of full-time specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-9 performing duties such as:
    • Monitoring and advising on a variety of administrative problems or situations (i.e. budget,
      personnel, travel, space, logistics);
    • Exercising judgment in choosing, interpreting, applying, and modifying available guidelines
      for adaptation to specific problems or issues
    • Identifying administrative problems or issues related to logistics and procurement
      management; AND
    • Identifying a variety of issues and their factual relationships, analyzes relevant factors and
      conditions and chooses a course of action from many alternatives;
    OR

    Education: have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) academic years of
    progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree;

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of successfully completed graduate
    level education and experience. Graduate level education in excess of the amount required for
    the next lower grade level, which is 2 years, may be used to qualify at the GS-11. This will be

    You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
    • Identifying ways to improve or enhance a variety of administrative programs or projects

    • Gathering, interpreting, and analyzing the effects of change in laws and regulations to ensure
      effective and efficient application.
    • Analyzing complex issues and identify course of action, modify standard procedures, and
      solve a variety of issues related to logistics and procurement management.
    • Researching and evaluating information and precedent cases to provide advice, guidance,
      and recommend solutions.
