About the Accounting Implementation Specialist Role

The Implementation Specialist role is responsible for managing the onboarding and early- stage support for new clients and for facilitating a smooth transition to the long-term Outsourcing Advisory and Accounting Team.

The Implementation Specialist has a strong knowledge of the general ledger systems that the firm has identified as the top accounting systems (i.e., Sage Intacct, QBO, etc.). 

Essential Responsibilities:

· Orchestrates and implements the new client process

· Serves as implementation lead and contact for the client and outsourcing team within the first 90 days of onboarding a client or existing client

· Initial setup of 3rd party applications that the firm and the client will use to collaborate for ongoing financial reporting, document processing, etc.

· Provides training for new clients and client staff in the use of shared software applications

· Responsible for remaining current and fully developed in the use of Outsourced Advisory and Accounting and integrated applications and for providing supportive ongoing training and development to the Outsourcing team

· Telephone, video conference and live consultations with clients to review Internal Management Reports and other information during the implementation period

· Develops and strengthens long-term relationships with senior client management and peer client levels

· Plans, organizes and controls multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment objectives

· Manages the assignment budget and profitability in their area of responsibility

· Identifies client needs/opportunities to sell additional value-added services

· Leverages commercial and market knowledge to anticipate client needs for new/additional services

· Development of functional specialization and/or industry expertise

· Actively pursues self-development opportunities in line with the competency model

To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· Experience with QuickBooks Online required 

· Experience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com preferred

· Strong innovative and streamlined approach to systems and processes/procedures

· Prior bookkeeping experience required that involved processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. 

· Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at a minimum, more applications preferred)

· Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred

· Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

· Team player with a positive can-do approach

· A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas
