Implementation Manager manages a team of implementation specialists responsible for installing and deploying technical systems, software, hardware, or solutions. Ensures the team is following department policies and procedures. Being an Implementation Manager manages and supports multiple implementation projects. Assesses client's requirements, develops scopes and cost estimates, and creates project plans and schedules. Additionally, Implementation Manager ensures that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations. Responds to and resolves escalated client issues during or after implementations. Troubleshoots and recommends solutions to implementation problems or challenges. May be involved in pre-sales product demonstrations or assist in developing proposals. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of technical specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Implementation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Implementation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. EHR Implementation - Training Manager

    Summary of Essential Functions:
    • Responsible for communicating training Epic training policies and procedures across the organization and for overall coordination of training activities and trainers.
    • Responsible for the overall implementation of  the Epic end-user training program as well as ongoing education and maintenance of the training program after go-live.
    • Responsible for determining required training resources, directing and managing training team staffing, and securing facilities and eq2uipment for classroom training.
    • Determines curriculum delivery methods, oversees the creation and maintenance of a realistic training environment, creates a course catalog and training schedule, and ensures all users are trained before they access the production environment. 
    Educational Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree required.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. 
     Licensure and Certifications:
    • Must complete education and pass certification in assigned EPIC application module(s) within 120 days of completed education.
     Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Experience with technology or healthcare strongly desired
    • Existing knowledge of organizational culture, personnel, processes strongly desired
    • Capacity to manage multiple competing objectives and to clearly communicate results
    • Ability to lead others and to communicate the importance of training to all stakeholders
    • Experience with project management, adult education, and curriculum delivery
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills; ability to sequence activities logically
    • Ability to develop and adhere to time schedules in order to meet project deadlines
    • Interpersonal skills to function well in administrative, management, and patient care environments
    • Ability to work effectively with staff that have a wide range of seniority
    • Knowledge of and the ability to use PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software to create teaching and learning materials and documentation
     Physical Requirements:
    • Primarily works the day shift tour of duty; additional hours may be asked to work other hours as needed, including weekends.
    • Will be required to take rotating call to support the applications
    • May be expected to lift over twenty five (25) pounds.
    • Ability to distinguish between numbers and symbols.
    • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity with substantial movement of wrist and/or fingers.
    • Walking and climbing to accomplish tasks.
    • Corrected vision and hearing to normal or near normal range.
    • Extended periods of sitting and/or walking depending on specific duties. 
    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Securing and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Manage the Epic training environment
    • Manage the training team
    • Develop training programs
    • Act as a change management and transition team after go-live
    • Provide long-term training management and leadership
    Performs other tasks/responsibilities as necessary
