Job Summary: The Center for Rural Health is seeking a Project Manager in
the area of implementation and translational science. The Project Manager will develop and
implement an evaluation plan including data collection, management and
reporting across three currently funded projects, and capacity to expand to
other projects funded in the future. Current projects include the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)-funded
Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Regional (ROTA-R) program, the Prevention
Division of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse
Services (ODMHSAS), and for OSU-CHS Project ECHO. The successful candidate will
play a crucial role in advancing our research objectives; developing and
implementing qualitative and quantitative evaluations; and ensuring the
translation of complex research findings into actionable strategies for rural communities.
Description of Duties/Responsibilities: The Project Manager will develop and implement technical assistance
materials, as well as to design and implement an evaluation plan. The ideal
candidate will collect, manage and report data in a timely manner.
Specific responsibilities include: Program Development and Implementation: -Oversee
the creation and execution of multifaceted programs, using insights from
qualitative and quantitative research and based on funding requirements as well as
project and institutional partner goals and objectives. -Apply
project management methodologies to ensure programs are delivered
effectively, on time, and within budget. -Maintain strong relationships with institutional partners as well as internal staff to achieve the goals and objectives of multiple projects. -Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Evaluation: -Assist in developing and implementing an evaluation plan for multifaceted interventions based on funding requirements as well as project and institutional partner goals and objectives. -Assist in designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive data management system in REDCap. -Assist in managing data collection and reporting of multi-site data for both internal and external purposes. -Utilize data management system to generate reports for analysis and evaluation of project goals. -Utilize
findings to refine and enhance program effectiveness and stakeholder
satisfaction.
Translational Science Material Development: -Create
outlines, fact sheets, and other materials to translate complex research
findings into accessible information for various stakeholders and
institutional partners. -Ensure
that these materials effectively communicate the practical implications of
research findings for rural health improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: -Engage
with a wide range of stakeholders, including community members, healthcare
providers, and policymakers, to ensure programs are community-informed and
supported. -Facilitate
partnerships and collaborations to enhance program reach and impact.
Dissemination and Advocacy: Communicate
program outcomes and insights through various platforms, including
presentations, and reports to stakeholders. Advocate
for policy changes and resources based on program findings and community
needs.

Position Qualifications: | Requirements: -Master’s degree in
Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field, with a
focus on qualitative research methodologies -Experience in
managing programs, with the ability to apply qualitative and quantitative
research findings to program development and evaluation -Valid Driver's License
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge: -Strong skills in
qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and
interpretation, with experience using qualitative analysis software (e.g.
NVivo) and quantitative analysis software (e.g. SPSS). -Basic REDCap
skills, including building and maintaining complex surveys -Experience with
Microsoft Excel, including formulas and rules -Familiarity with
project management tools and methodologies. -Excellent verbal
and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively
with diverse stakeholders and to facilitate collaborative partnerships. -Experience in
grant writing and management, with a track record of securing funding for
health initiatives. -Desire to seek
opportunities to add value beyond immediate delivery requirements -Demonstrated
ability to excel in a team-based environment
Work Environment: Work
is performed in an office, and on occasion at other arranged job sites. Occasional
travel will be required in the performance of duties. |
