    Job Requirements and Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Minimum high school diploma required.

    Licensure/Certification:

    • Administrator’s License for the state of Maine, Level IV PNMI.
    • CRMA & PSS (or equivalent) certification required (or must be obtained within 3 months).
    • Maintain annual CEU requirements.

    Experience:

    • Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative and management experience.
    • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a residential care facility.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Proficient in computer use for efficient written communication.
    • Excellent communication skills in English.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
    • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities.

    Job Description:

    General Responsibilities:

    • Maintain positive relationships with the local medical community and government agencies.
    • Follow marketing directions from Central Office.
    • Ensure a warm and positive atmosphere in the facility.
    • Maintain confidentiality of company, resident, and employee information.
    • Communicate effectively with staff and monitor tasks for timely completion.

    Supervisory/Employee Related Tasks:

    • Supervise all staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Verify, process, and review staff payroll.
    • Conduct staff meetings and training programs.
    • Stay informed about changes in the long-term healthcare field.

    Financial Tasks:

    • Assist in developing the facility’s annual operating budget.
    • Review and interpret monthly financial statements.
    • Manage resident billing and facility petty cash.
    • Complete weekly processing of accounts payable.

    Documentation Tasks:

    • Manage employee incident and injury reports.
    • Complete bi-weekly employee work schedules.
    • Maintain and update employee personnel files.
    • Implement, interpret, and explain the facility’s policies and procedures.

    Facility/Regulation Related:

    • Inspect the facility routinely to ensure policy adherence.
    • Manage the physical plant, maintenance, and grounds.
    • Monitor facility compliance with State & Federal regulations.
    • Maintain minimum required staffing ratios in the facility.

    Resident Related:

    • Oversee maintenance of resident charts.
    • Review and maintain residency occupancy levels.
    • Handle all resident referrals and ensure the highest level of resident occupancy.
