Inbound Contact Center Supervisor supervises inbound contact center agents and operations focusing on selling products or services. Monitors metrics and targets for service volume, sales, and timeliness. Being an Inbound Contact Center Supervisor responds to escalated calls with remedies or solutions. Implements sales and product training to update staff on product and service offerings, customer response standards, scripts, operational policies, and procedures. Additionally, Inbound Contact Center Supervisor prepares staff work schedules to ensure coverage and coordinate training. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Inbound Contact Center Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Inbound Contact Center Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Performs responsible professional work supervising recreational programs and directing the operation of a neighborhood recreation center; does related work as required.   Work is performed under the regular supervision of a Recreation Center Supervisor.  Supervision is exercised over part-time staff, volunteers, and program participants. Work schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Plans, organizes, conducts, coordinates, and evaluates a wide variety of fitness, recreational and community service programs.
    • Supervises part-time staff, volunteers, contractors, and participants.
    • Assists with interviewing staff and volunteers, recommends applicants for employment, train employees and volunteers.
    • Assists with the scheduling of employees, volunteers, and contractors for special events and programs.
    • Drives passenger van.
    • Provides excellent customer service in-person and on the telephone to the public, instructors, vendors, and internal customers.
    • Collects fees and charges, prepares, and maintains financial and attendance reports through an online registration/reservation software.
    • Responsible for opening and closing facility.
    • Observes participants utilizing recreation center, grounds, and facilities, enforces center policies and maintains order.
    • Prepares facilities by setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment for meetings, workshops, classes, games, and other programs.
    • Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections.
    • Inspects and ensures cleanliness of the facility.
    • Inspects equipment for condition and safety, recommends new or replacement equipment and supplies, maintains proper inventories.
    • Ensures that all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and City Safety Standards and Policies.
    • Performs other work as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • Formal Education
      1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a four (4) year degree in Recreation or a related field.
    • Some experience in operating and supervising a recreation center.
    • Some experience planning activities, supervising programs, and special events.
    • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal safety regulations and OSHA.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include day, evenings, split shifts, weekends, and holidays.
    • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Preferred experience working in a recreation center setting.
    • English and Spanish Language skills.
     
    Degree of Physical Demands
    Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects and/or equipment.  Physical demand requirements usually require walking, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling, jumping, running, climbing, kneeling, and sitting, sometimes on the ground or floor.  There is significant use of arms, hands, legs and feet.
     
    Type of Physical Demands
     
    Reaching, Handling, and Fingering: (Reaching - Extending the hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction, but normally to the front or side).  (Handling - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands (fingering not involved).  (Fingering - Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling).

    Talking and/or Hearing: (Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word).  (Hearing - Perceiving nature of sounds by ear).
    Must be able to communicate with the program participants and their family members.  Must be able to speak clearly and have a voice with enough volume to be heard over the other noises of the facility, and be able to hear should a participant call for help or assistance.  Must be able to communicate with subordinates and supervisor in person and by telephone.
     
    Seeing:  The ability to perceive the nature of objects by the eye.  Recommended guidelines for vision are:
     
    1.  Acuity, far - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.
    Must be able to see at a distance to observe the activities and ensure safety for the participants.  Both eyes 20/25 - R 20/30 - L 20/30 corrected
     
    2.  Acuity, near - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
    Must be able to see close so as to work with forms, and reports and physically assist participants.  Both eyes 20/22 corrected
     
    3.  Depth Perception - Three-dimensional vision.  Ability to judge distance and space relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are.
    Must be able to judge distances so as to know exactly how near or far a participant is for safety purposes.  Depth Perception - 4
     
    4.  Field of Vision - Area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point.
    Must be able to see wide span to cover program area while focusing on the job at hand.  Must be alert to all that is happening.
     
    5.  Accommodation - Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus.  This item is especially important when doing near-point work at varying distances from eye.
    Must be able to adjust the eye lens to glance quickly at participants or other people who are located at various distances.
     
    6.  Color Vision - Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
    Must be able to distinguish colors from shades of gray so as to tell one person from another at a distance.
     
    Reasoning
    Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to work tasks, practical situations and requests made by supervisor or program participants; to comprehend and respond to a variety of situations in an expedient manner, possibly under emergency conditions.  Good judgment is essential.
     
    Mathematics Ability
    Using Arithmetic:  Ability to use arithmetic to add, subtract and make change when collecting fees; to make statistical reports on numbers of participants and attendance.
     
    Language Ability
    Read:  Ability to read manuals, instructions, directions, report information, safety rules and regulations, calendars, recording forms, evaluations and various other documents relating to the job.
    Write:  Ability to write figures and make various reports.
    Speak:  Ability to be conversant in voice and diction so as to participate in discussions with supervisor, subordinates, other employees and program participants.  Must be able to teach programs and make speeches to groups of people.  While remaining polite, courteous and caring, must sometimes be forceful in the enforcement of safety and other regulations.
     
    Environmental Conditions
    The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions:  Exposed to the various weather conditions and temperatures.  Combining the type of work performed with the weather conditions, the worker should be one who can work outside in a hot environment.  Job responsibilities require that the employee work inside the facility most of the time but go outside to assist with or evaluate a program in progress and during field trips.
     
    Hazards
    Employee will be exposed to trash, garbage, cleaning detergents and chemicals, dust, trees, shrubs and grass.  Work is subject to final standards of OSHA on bloodborne pathogens.
     
    Machinery/Tools/Work Aids/Other Equipment
    Various recreational equipment, computer, Personnel Resolution, calculator, VCR, PA system, score board, floor buffing machine, mops, brooms, cleaning supplies, reporting forms arts, crafts, chairs, tables, toilet equipment, hand tools, safety rules, First Aid supplies, medications, pens, pencils, telephone, telephone directory, passenger van and other work aides associated with the job.
