Looking for experienced commercial painters to work an assignment painting and coating Nasa Launch Pads.
This will be long term for a couple months and could lead to a full time position for the right team members.
Must be able to pass badging and ground check.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
- Mix and apply paint using various methods such as airless paint spraying or brush/roller techniques
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards
- Adhere to lean manufacturing principles and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform basic mechanical tasks related to painting, such as disassembly and reassembly of parts
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
- Familiarity with mechanical processes and ability to use power tools
- Ability to operate a crane for materials handling (certification preferred)
- Experience in auto body repair is a plus
- Proficient in warehouse operations, including inventory management and materials handling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Forklift certification is a plus
