We are seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for an innovative and fast-paced environment. This position will be a key member of our team. Responsible for improving production processing systems and eliminating waste with the help of the Production Manager, Engineering Manager, & Quality and Safety Manager. This person will report to the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

• Analyze and improve manufacturing practices and operations to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Lead the advancement and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives in production.
• Optimize use of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.
• Analyze existing operations and propose cost justified improvements.
• Play a key role in implementation of new processes, equipment, and products.
• Play a key role in designing, implementation and managing production processes, equipment, and workflows that improve safety, quality, and reduce waste.
• Optimize existing operations and propose cost-justified improvements.
• Evaluate and implement procedures and tools to enhance employee performance and satisfaction.
• Initiate, plan, execute and control Capital Expenditure projects to accomplish operations strategic goals.
• Plant Layout and planning
• Time and motion studies

Education and Experience

• Four (4) year degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Strong lean manufacturing experience especially in continuous improvement, elimination of waste, 6S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping and visual management.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and methods including the DIMAC process
• Strong computer skills in order to analyze, organize and present data and information using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working AutoCAD knowledge.
• Plant Layout experience
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively handle multiple projects and deadlines while adapting to changing needs and requirements.
• Must have a team-oriented mindset.
