POSITION SUMMARY

The Pipe Fitter/Millwright position is responsible for the removal and installation of industrial machinery and equipment. This is a permanent and full-time position located in Lincolnton, NC. Candidates can expect to work both out of town and locally (Hickory and the surrounding area).

EBF Enterprises, Inc. is a part of Matthews International Corporation and located in Lincolnton, NC. Our company installs and upgrades large machines used in industrial factories such as extruders, presses, and converting equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Removal and installation of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment.
• Care and maintain company tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Understand, practice, and enforce safe work practices.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support PLC programmers during commissioning in-house and at customers' sites.
• Troubleshoot and solve any issues related to the equipment’s electrical systems.
• May assist with tracking project costs, including time keeping.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in industrial pipe fitting related to production lines for air, natural gas, cooling water, machine assembly, and/or machine installation.
• Millwright experience preferred.
• Rigging experience is preferred (candidates with active rigging certification will be given additional consideration).
• Must be knowledgeable with standard industry hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Written communication skills.
• Basic tech skills (Preference for candidates with MS-Apps experience).

SCHEDULE & BENEFITS

Schedule: Full-Time

Monday - Friday (7 am - 5 pm). Some Saturdays may be required. Travel is required (may involve international travel). This is a local/traveling permanent, full-time position. Must be willing to commute to the Hickory/Lincolnton/Conover/Charlotte areas on a daily basis. Must be reliable!

Compensation: $25 - $35/Hour *Pay depends on skill level. Daily per diem is paid when traveling.
