    Description of the Daily Program

    See Me Grow and Learn’s teachers carefully design a schedule that promotes each child’s learning and development through a balance of child-led free play and engaging teacher planned learning activities.

    Teacher Responsibilities

    A Teacher’s responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Creates a safe/ diverse learning environment
    • Provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learning
    • Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
    • Encourage creativity through art, music, dramatic play, and blocks
    • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
    • Plan and implement activities that develop children’s self-esteem, social skills
    • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
    • Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
    • Promote manners and healthy eating practices.
    • Adapt the program to meet the individual needs of each child
    • Respect cultural and ethnic diversity
    • Establish positive and effective family relations
    • Develop lesson plans
    • Use Tadpoles to report all daily activity and for communication with parents
    • Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences, and professional growth opportunities

    We are seeking one reliable and flexible floater.

    Full-time: Monday-Friday, 36-40 hours per week

    Experience/Requirements

    • 6 weeks-6 years

    • Must meet Qualifications for Early Childhood Teacher Assistant

    In the classrooms, all Teachers and Teacher Assistants are to carry out play-based planned lessons to provide balanced learning activities for all children. It is also important to follow a predictable routine and schedule for children to thrive. Teachers and Teacher Assistants will maintain a clean and sanitary environment, supervise bathroom and hand washing, and overall help support children through good hygiene habits and social distancing. When working with children who are not potty trained, teachers will change diapers as needed and support the training process when the child shows interest and the family is providing home support.

    The center uses the Tadpoles platform for parent communication, attendance, and daily notes that document each child's daily habits from eating to diapering/bathroom, and sleeping. All information must be entered accurately using the classroom tablet.

    Full-time teachers will receive professional development reimbursement including tuition reimbursement*, and childcare discounts for their own children (to be negotiated at time of hire).

    Career goal-driven individuals will be offered growth opportunities. We strive to promote from within and have developed a sequence for advancement to include Mentor Teacher, Assistant Director, Closing/Opening Director, and Director positions.

    *After 90 days introductory period. Must be related to the field of child psychology or development. Must also be a course approved for professional development to help you advance in your current position or desired position at See Me Grow and Learn. Must commit to 1-year employment after completing the course of studies.

    Job Types: Full Time

    Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour. (Depending on experience and qualifications.)
