Information Security Director leads and manages the team responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's systems and information assets. Oversees the development and implementation of security systems, guidelines, and strategies. Being an Information Security Director implements processes and procedures to protect the organization against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, and/or destruction. Conducts and reviews audits and risk assessments. Additionally, Information Security Director reviews and evaluates internal operations and controls. Oversees the migration of non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Ensures compliance with data protection guidelines and applicable laws. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Security Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     IHMVCU is growing the Information Security team, recruiting a dynamic and experienced Information Security Architect. You will play a vital role in leading the security architecture, ensuring measures are integrated from design phase through implementation. You'll collaborate with various teams for all projects, guiding and approving security frameworks and solutions across the organization.

    Summary of the position:

    This role is central to developing and maintaining a secure environment that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Aside from the project work, you will need to create and present technical information to our business units and successful collaborate with IT colleagues.

    Education and Experience:


    • Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in an information security role, demonstrating extensive involvement in security architecture and risk management. 
    • Deep understanding of NIST frameworks, CIS Benchmarks, and regulatory compliance such as GLBA and PCI DSS, crucial for ensuring all projects meet stringent security standards. 
    • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are preferred, indicating a professional commitment to information security principles and practices. 
    • Extensive knowledge of security architectures, data protection protocols, and risk management, essential for designing robust security strategies and frameworks. 
    • Proficiency in technical security solutions, including network and application security, identity and access management, and security incident response, necessary for practical implementation and troubleshooting. 
    • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiations, critical for ensuring the security of third-party services and products. 
    • Prior experience in a regulated environment, with a clear understanding of the nuances and requirements of working within such frameworks. 
    • Strong project management skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, vital for effective collaboration and project oversight.

    What are some of the responsibilities of an Information Security Analyst?

    • Vendor Security Management: Assess and evaluate security protocols of third-party vendors and partners. Participate in the negotiation of security terms in vendor contracts to ensure robust data protection and compliance. 
    • Risk Management and Compliance: Lead the identification and mitigation of risks associated with IT operations. Maintain and update the Cyber Security Risk Register. Serve as a primary contact during external audits and compliance reviews. 
    • Identity and Access Management Collaboration: Collaborate on enhancing identity and access management practices. Act as a backup for related roles as necessary.
    • Incident Response Support: Assist in developing and refining incident response strategies. Act as a key resource during security incidents, providing expert knowledge and support.

    Physical Requirements
