Information Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cyber security, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development. Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. Implements procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards. Additionally, Information Security Manager migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Evaluates the organization to ensure compliance with standards and relevance with industry security norms. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Security Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Security Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key Role:

    Leverage technical understanding of cybersecurity to create and apply solutions aligned to the client's mission. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5 years of experience in computer science or computer information security

    • Experience with Windows server and desktop operating systems

    • Knowledge of vulnerability management and ACAS

    • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity practices and procedures

    • Top Secret clearance

    • HS diploma or GED

    • DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level 2 Certification

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF)

    • Experience with HBSS and virtualization technologies, including VMWare

    • Experience working with the U.S. Navy

    • Experience with Comply to Connect (C2C) and Zero Trust cybersecurity solutions

    • Knowledge of networking and devices, including Cisco, firewalls, and VPN

    • Bachelor's degree

    • MCSE or MCSA Certification

    Clearance:

    Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
