The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is recruiting internally and externally for one position of
Information Services Project Administrator. This is a Laborers International Union of North America,
Local 808 (LIUNA, Local 808) position. All applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) selection

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Summary of Position:
Under the general direction of the Chief Technology Officer, this position will be responsible for translating
and coordinating the Authority's objectives into reality in those areas where IT can provide such
accomplishment. This position will interface with users and mid-level managers in fulfilling the IT project
needs in various departments. This position may be required to respond to IT emergencies after hours and
on weekends but will maintain a strong dedication to process standardization and documentation in order
to minimize the risk of emergency situations.
The Information Services Project Administrator will evaluate existing applications to determine technical
changes, schedule projects, resources, and monitor project timelines. The Information Services Project
Administrator plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development,
implementation of the organization's projects. Other duties will include working with various departmental
projects as lead for IT involvement, will provide adequate documentation and establish training procedures.
This position will also be responsible for some ongoing tasks related to new and existing projects.
