Records Assistant-Health Information Management Services (Full Time)

Responsibilities:

• Provides secretarial support to the Director of Revenue Cycle and other members of Health Information Team.
• Assists with a variety of clerical duties such as chart processing, data entry, customer service, mail sorting/delivery, copying, report preparation, birth certificates, deficiency maintenance, sorting, retrieving of documents, filing of loose reports and medical records, and other general tasks.
• Adheres to legal requirements and established procedures that govern release of information.

Requirements:

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, caring attitude and be a team player
• Medical Secretary degree preferred or equivalent medical office/hospital experience preferred
• Previous hospital, medical office, or health information practices and concepts experience preferred
• Ability to multitask and above average computer skills, accuracy of data entry, name and number recognition, and ability to extract data from documents
• Must uphold high ethical standards
• HS diploma or equivalent required

Schedule:

• 72 hours a pay period. Monday - Friday. 8a-4:30p
• 1 half day off per week
• The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
