Information Technology Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Being an Information Technology Director manages the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Information Technology Director typically reports to a CIO. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Technology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • General Summary
    The Director of Information Technology provides management for all information technology services and operations. Responsible for the daily operation, security, and maintenance of LSI’s IT environment. Formulates appropriate recommendations for improvements and additions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the information technology services and operations.
    Essential Job Functions

    • Responsible for the direction and management of LSI’s IT resources and personnel.
    • Responsible for the technical management of the company’s IT equipment.
    • Supervise, plan, organize, and control all activities within the IT staff.
    • Participate in developing company IT goals and objectives.
    • Establish policies and procedures in accordance with government and industry regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security.
    • Identify and implement changes in hardware and software.
    • Establish and maintain complete inventories of all IT equipment and software for the company.
    • Responsible for LSI’s IT Cybersecurity posture and direct all activities related to LSI’s IT security.
    • Leads LSI’s security team including the Facility Security Officer (FSO), Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), and Information Technology Security Manager (ITSM).
    • Directs the actions of the security team to ensure long-term sustainment of the LSI Facility Clearance and successful operation of LSI’s classified spaces.
    • Provide security and IT system orientation for new employees.
    • Provide initial, 90-day, and annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
    • Ensure all employees under his or her purview complete annual HR training, security training, safety training, and other training as required.
    • Must be capable of safely handling government-furnished equipment and materials.
    • Must be available to work a standard weekly schedule with overtime as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage projects and personnel.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Proven management skills that foster an open dialog with all organizational staff.
    • Broad-based IT experience across several functional areas to include IT operations, networking, cloud, help desk, and data architecture.
    • Demonstrated experience in NISPOM compliance.
    • Familiar with NIST 800.171 compliance and CMMC certification.
    • Ability to travel on short notice as the job requires. Travel estimated to be less than 10%.
    • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving skills, devotion to quality, and team building skills.
    • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary standards, practices, procedures, and methods.
    • Evaluate and design systems and network architectures.
    • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
    • Six (6) years of experience with large and high-profile projects in multiple technologies and functions environment.
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
