Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position Details
As an Operator, you'll help us create quality products by preparing and performing tasks to set up, operate and monitor all components of the production line.- Set up, operate and monitor assigned machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret shop drawings in order to program equipment
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished product is produced within established deliverables
- Make necessary adjustments to equipment to meet product quality standards
- Troubleshoot common equipment and quality issues
- Meet daily productivity goals
- Inspects equipment for safety
- Operate overhead crane as needed to load and unload product
- Prepares orders for shipment
- Participation in continuous improvement
Experience/Skills- 1 Year experience operating relevant machinery/equipment in manufacturing environment
- Safety oriented
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- 1 Year experience operating a Forklift
- Overhead Crane experience a plus
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when needed
