Duties
- You will use hand and pneumatic powered tools to perform minor machining, repair, and assembly of parts.
- You will use precision measuring equipment to accomplish the correct and most efficient routing of components.
- You will interpret and apply technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, and repair/maintenance manuals.
- You will perform machining of parts to accomplish the correct and most efficient routing of components to the different machining sections for repair.
- You will repair components on various types of valves, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, actuators, and condensers.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- You will be required to lift or carry up to 60 pounds and occasionally over 60 pounds.
- Work is performed in a shop and requires standing for long periods and working in uncomfortable positions which involve stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
- Your vision must be such that you can identify color coding of materials and can read small scales down to 1/64th of an inch.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission
requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
