    Duties

    • You will use hand and pneumatic powered tools to perform minor machining, repair, and assembly of parts.
    • You will use precision measuring equipment to accomplish the correct and most efficient routing of components.
    • You will interpret and apply technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, and repair/maintenance manuals.
    • You will perform machining of parts to accomplish the correct and most efficient routing of components to the different machining sections for repair.
    • You will repair components on various types of valves, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, actuators, and condensers.

    • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
    • You will be required to lift or carry up to 60 pounds and occasionally over 60 pounds.
    • Work is performed in a shop and requires standing for long periods and working in uncomfortable positions which involve stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
    • Your vision must be such that you can identify color coding of materials and can read small scales down to 1/64th of an inch.
    • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission
      requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
