Inservice Training Director directs the overall design and development of training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Establishes a skill assessment process to collect input and identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Being a Inservice Training Director consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Ensures curricula designs support defined competency models or skill frameworks. Additionally, Inservice Training Director develops standards and methodology to prepare high-quality outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Oversees and approves the selection of software or collaboration tools used for training. Establishes the appropriate metrics to use for the evaluation of training effectiveness. Analyzes outcomes to determine ROI and recommend changes to programs and budgets. Evaluates and selects vendors to provide support, training materials, or to conduct training sessions. This leadership director will spend most of their time at Bear Creek Aquatic Camp overseeing the Counselors-in-Training (CIT) sessions/programming while traveling with CITs to Camp Pennyroyal for one session. Both camps are traditional overnight summer camps owned and operated by the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. Camp Pennyroyal has its own spring fed lake and high ropes course. Bear Creek Aquatic Camp is located on Kentucky Lake, hosting a variety of water sports and primitive camping excursions. Our camps typically host programs for girls in grades 1 -12 with up to 80 campers and adult volunteers. The CIT Director will work with the Camp Director to instruct and delegate the Counselor-in-Training curriculum. The CIT 1 and 2 programs are leadership based and meant to build the skills of future staff. When not working with CITs, this position will assist with delivery of daily programming in the areas of life skills, team building, leadership skills, aquatics, arts, and more. They will also work with teams of 2-3 counselors and unit leaders that oversee a unit typically comprised of 4-24 campers to ensure leadership programing is being delivered. The CIT Director will sleep in a unit, help cover breaks and assist with the unit as needed while also observing, evaluating, and training unit staff members, when necessary. The salary for Counselor in Training (CIT) Director (Bear Creek Aquatic Camp) position is $5,500 for the entire seasonal contract.
