    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for personal and direct sales of the company’s MinistryWorks payroll product and any other product added to the MinistryWorks division’s portfolio in the future.

     

    POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as a professional expert on the payroll processing needs of churches and related ministries.
    • Implement personal and direct sales strategies to introduce and develop the MinistryWorks payroll program and achieves the new client growth goals established by management.
    • Assist the company’s independent agents in securing MinistryWorks clients by focusing on programs endorsed by national or regional denominational groups
    • Document all sales contacts and activities in accordance with the department’s lead generation and tracking strategies by using the department’s customer relationship management software system.
    • Achieve annual new client goals as established by the by Sales Manager-MinistryWorks, the MinistryWorks board of directors and the sales committee.
    • Monitor the marketplace constantly and identify products that directly or indirectly compete against the company’s MinistryWorks payroll program. Develop and maintain in the designated marketing database, accurate side-by-side product comparison charts of all such competing products.
    • Uphold the company’s image and professional standards in all interactions with customers, employees, and members of the public.
    • Work as a productive member of a cohesive group toward a common goal.
    • Participate in ongoing continuing education events as needed.
    • Exhibit at conventions or trade shows where potential MinistryWorks customers are likely to attend.
    • Assist management with teaching at Brotherhood Mutual’s agent schools. This will include assisting the Manager-MinistryWorks with keeping the format of the school fresh and up-to-date.
    • Complete other projects and activities as assigned by management and the MinistryWorks board of directors.

    • Must have above average communication skills, expressing ideas and opportunities in a clear, orderly and professional manner to increase the understanding and promotion of MinistryWorks products and services.
    • Must have a stress tolerance that allows them to perform effectively even when facing pressure due to time frame, workload, adversity, disappointment or opposition.
    • Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.

     

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
    • Must have two to three years of general sales experience.
    • Prior payroll processing experience is desired.
    • Familiarity with church operations is desired.
    • The ability to speak fluent Spanish is beneficial.
