Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) is responsible for implementing the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The PEPFAR Program Manager position integrates diplomacy and a data use function to support the goals of PEPFAR at the Department of State. The incumbent will have comprehensive responsibility for one country and will work with PEPFAR headquarters staff to advance collective monitoring and progress to program impact for the HIV/AIDS response, and data utilization at multiple levels. 

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for aligning and tracking the achievement of global and national goals, including PEPFAR targets. You will design and support the implementation of Country Health Partnerships, mobilizing key stakeholders such as the Global Fund, the World Bank, UNAIDS, the private sector, and civil society. You will lead efforts to enhance transparency and accountability in program impact, cost, and quality by aligning vision, strategy, and implementation, potentially in collaboration with organizations like the Open Government Partnership (OGP).

     

    • Spearheads the establishment and monitoring of global, national, and PEPFAR targets, driving towards the realization of an AIDS-Free Generation by engaging stakeholders effectively.
    • Fosters strategic partnerships and collaboration to amplify core interventions in high transmission zones, leveraging the latest epidemiological data to target those most at risk.
    • Leads the design and facilitation of robust Country Health Partnerships, mobilizing key entities such as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the World Bank, UNAIDS, the private sector, and civil society. These partnerships will accelerate action in PEPFAR priority countries while ensuring mutual accountability for epidemic management.
    • Enhances transparency and accountability in program impact, cost, and quality through the alignment of vision, strategy, and implementation. Collaborate potentially with organizations like the Open Government Partnership (OGP) to ensure clear and transparent reporting practices.

    Qualifications

    Skills/Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Must be in good physical condition and can occasionally travel. MODERATE RISK PUBLIC TRUST clearance required.

     

    Education and Experience:

    • PhD/MD in Public Health, Health Sciences, or allied sciences or related fields appropriate to the work position.
    • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience.

    Clearance: MODERATE RISK PUBLIC TRUST clearance required.

     

    Physical Requirements: 

    • Frequently lift and/or move parts up to 40lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50lbs 
    • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for many continuous working hours 
    • Frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp and move network equipment 
    • Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach overhead when moving network equipment
