Inside Technical Sales sells technical services, products, and systems. Develops relationships with current customers and identifies potential new customers through visits and calls. Being a Inside Technical Sales creates and conducts technical presentations and demos that present current and future products to potential customers. Utilizes technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and to prepare specifications and generate quotes. Additionally, Inside Technical Sales builds customer confidence by addressing all technical objections/concerns from prospective customers throughout the sales cycle. Partners with internal technical and marketing teams to offer suggestions for product enhancements and to share insights from customers. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related technical or scientific discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Inside Technical Sales occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     HD Fowler Company is looking to hire a full-time Inside Salesperson to join the team at our Woodinville, Washington branch. You will be responsible for serving external and internal customers, including the completion and tracking of material takeoffs for project bids.     What you will do:

    • Courteously assist customers (in person and via telephone) by writing orders, facilitating returns, renting equipment and providing quotes
    • Assist with product selection and inquiries, problem solving, and acquiring non-stock material
    • Estimate, quote, and manage customer timelines and projects
    • Support outside sales staff in writing orders, contacting customers, managing jobs and pending orders, and/or coordinating customer receipt of product
    • In this safety sensitive role you may operate a company vehicle and/or operate forklift or other machinery
    • Complete accurate and thorough takeoffs
    • Assist in managing bids
    • Participate in continuing education, learning about product and material applications

    Who we are looking for:

    • Customer service or wholesale supply background required
    • Industry and estimating experience preferred
    • Computer and mechanical aptitude preferred
    • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to work overtime when required (generally limited to busy season)
