Installation & Maintenance Technician Manager manages the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Manager ensures all functions are completed on time and within budget. Coordinates the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Manager provides and evaluates training for installation and maintenance technicians. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Installation & Maintenance Technician Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Position SummaryOur factory in Waverly is located on the Cedar River in Northeast Iowa. Waverly is a beautiful, family-friendly town of 10,000 people. Waverly is also home to Wartburg college, a prestigious private collage, which gives Waverly a progressive, energizing college vibe.
The function of this position is: To work as a team member to operate and maintain various packaging equipment in a safe and productive manner. Respond to all line stoppages quickly, and return to operation through trouble shooting and repairing the problem. Complete overhauls and changeover duties. Perform preventative maintenance in order to prevent line stoppages. Maintain all required paperwork including but not limited to quality checks, production reports, and inventory documentation. To perform and understand quality checks and associated paper work in accordance with the Nestle QMS. To maintain general housekeeping and food safety related sanitation. To learn and adhere to good manufacturing practices. To support and contribute to a continuous improvement culture. Perform troubleshooting and equipment repair. Complete overhauls and changeover duties. Complete and understand all inventory transactions required for the position. Create and complete work orders and their associated parts transactions.
**These positions are 2nd shift (4 pm-12 am) with mandatory overtimeThe pay for Maintenance Technician is $27.78. $0.40 shift differential for any hours worked outside of 8 am-4 pm$3000 sign on bonus, paid out as follows: $1000 at 30 days employment, $1000 at 6 months, and $1000 at 9 monthsVacation time, paid holidays, 401K, and benefits availableRelocation assistance offered
Primary Duties:- Inventory consumptions and reversals
- Quality checks/Line relief
- Inspections and preventative maintenance
- Repair and equipment troubleshooting- work order creating and completion
- Operate and control line equipment
- Equipment changeovers
- General housekeeping and sanitation
Job requirements:- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Ability to communicate written and orally in English.
- Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.
- Willing and able to work overtime.
- Willing and able to work various shifts.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
