Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor schedules and coordinates installation support and service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. The I/M Technicians are responsible for the installation, repair, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of inside and outside plant facilities and telecommunications equipment including voice and data networks; and broadband services.
Weekend work on a rotating schedule and responding to after-hours emergency calls is required.
**Pay includes opportunity for overtime and on call differential**
Must be able to obtain New Hampshire Commercial Driver's License and have a good driving record. Must pass all required alcohol and drug testing and DOT physical examinations. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
