Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor schedules and coordinates installation support and service operations. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Installation & Maintenance Technician Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. - Bed preparation, planting, mulching, and landscape/hardscape installation.
- Operation of small engine equipment including chainsaws, pole saws, and rototillers.
- Communicate daily with the Manager regarding daily schedule and progress.
- Attention to detail and safety.
Requirements:- Be able/willing to work outside, occasionally in less than ideal weather conditions. (Rain, Cold, or extreme heat).
- Be able to do labor-intensive and repetitive tasks throughout an entire work shift. (repeated kneeling, squatting, bending, and lifting).
- Have some knowledge of landscape and hardscape, and a willingness to learn.
- Be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
- Be able to interact professionally with managers, coworkers, and customers.
- Be able to work both independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
