Job Summary :
The Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Faculty Development works with the office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and the Center for Teaching and Learning.
This position ensures that university programs and offices engage in data-informed institutional effectiveness (assessment & planning) activities that meet institutional and accreditation requirements;
and provides instructional design support to faculty to facilitate instructional design that is equitable and inclusive, student-centered, outcomes-based, and can be assessed for continuous improvement.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Incorporates data literacy training into assessment and instructional design support to ensure assessment and instructional design efforts are data-informed
Assist programs and offices in developing data collection and management processes that are defined, documented, and clearly understood by stakeholders (e.
g., department chairs, teaching faculty, students, etc.), promoting standardized data collection and management procedures wherever possible to streamline efforts and increase efficiency.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Education and Experience :
Master’s degree in education, educational psychology, curriculum design, or related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching at the university level and applying adult learning theory, inclusive teaching and understanding by design.
Also experience leading or participating in higher education student learning or program assessment.
Quality Matters or similar training or certification preferred.
