The Instructional Designer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being an Instructional Designer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Instructional Designer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being an Instructional Designer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Overview:  
    We are seeking a creative and experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. The Instructional Designer will play a key role in developing engaging and effective learning materials, courses, and programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees, customers, and other internal/external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, e-learning development, and a passion for creating innovative and impactful learning experiences.  
    Key Responsibilities:  
      
    Needs Analysis:  
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct needs assessments and identify learning objectives.
    • Analyze target audience characteristics and tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
    Curriculum/Course Development:  
    • Design and develop instructional materials, including but not limited to e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, and multimedia content.
    • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that align with learning objectives.
    Instructional Design Models:  
    • Apply instructional design models and theories to guide the development of effective learning solutions.
    • Utilize adult learning principles to enhance the overall learning experience.
    Technology Integration:  
    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in instructional design and e-learning.
    • Integrate innovative technologies and tools to enhance the delivery of learning content.
    • Have a working knowledge of instructional design tools (e.g. Articulate, Rise, Storyline, etc.) and be able to apply in a number of settings.
    Multimedia Development:  
    • Develop multimedia elements, such as videos, simulations, and interactive exercises, to enhance the learning experience.
    • Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other team members to create visually appealing and engaging content.
    Evaluation:  
    • Conduct reviews and evaluations of learning materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with learning objectives.
    • Implement feedback and continuously improve instructional materials based on evaluation results.
    Project Management:  
    • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the development process.
    Qualifications:  
    • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, developing a variety of learning materials.
    • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
    • Strong understanding of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and learning technologies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Preferred Skills:  
    • Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field.
    • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS).
    • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and training requirements.
