The Instructional Designer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being an Instructional Designer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Instructional Designer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being an Instructional Designer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Key Responsibilities:


    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and vision. Lead the sales team by example, meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets.
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their preferences, needs, and aspirations. Provide personalized consultations to guide clients in selecting the perfect plant arrangements, landscapes, or interior design services.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of our product offerings, staying updated on industry trends, design concepts, and botanical knowledge. Communicate product features, benefits, and unique selling points to clients.
    • Create compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches that effectively convey the value proposition of THE PLANT GUY's services. Present solutions to clients in a persuasive and professional manner.
    • Networking and Lead Generation: Actively engage in networking events, trade shows, and industry gatherings to expand the company's client base. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate closely with the design and operational teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to execution. Provide insights from client interactions to enhance product offerings and service quality.
    • Stay attuned to market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback. Utilize this information to refine sales strategies and develop innovative approaches to attract and retain clients.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress toward targets. Provide regular reports to the management team to track performance and identify areas for improvement.



    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the interior design, floral, or luxury goods industry.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients and team members effectively.
      Passion for plants, design, and a keen eye for aesthetics.
    • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a track record of successful sales achievements.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tools, and Google Workspace.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).


    Experience:

    At least 3 years in sales or design preferred


    Physical Requirements:

    • The Sales/Design Rep may need to move around the office and showroom to interact with team members, access documents, and attend meetings.
    • The role involves meeting with clients, which may require standing or sitting for extended periods while discussing services, viewing presentations, and conducting consultations.
    • The Sales/Design Rep may participate in on-site visits to client locations to assess spaces, gather requirements, and provide personalized recommendations. This might involve walking, standing, and some light physical activity while inspecting areas for design and plant placement.
    • While not a regular requirement, the Sales/Design Rep may occasionally need to lift and carry materials such as brochures, samples, or presentation materials.
    • The Sales/Design Rep might need to set up presentations or demonstrations involving plant arrangements or design concepts, which could involve moving and arranging plants, decorations, or samples.
    • Depending on the client base and business needs, the Sales/Design Rep may need to travel to attend trade shows, networking events, or client meetings. Travel requirements could involve walking within event spaces and navigating various venues.
