The Instructional Designer II conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Being an Instructional Designer II develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. In addition, Instructional Designer II writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or online courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness. May collaborate with vendors that provide training materials or conduct training. May coach trainers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being an Instructional Designer II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Instructional Coach will provide a research-based, coordinated coaching strategy for the education staff of the Head Start and Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program. They will be responsible to assess education staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and which staff would benefit from intensive coaching. The Instructional Coach will be responsible for modeling and supporting teaching practices consistent with the agency’s curricula and with the CLASS Instrument. Additionally, they will support staff with implementation of PBIS in their classrooms. This position will work closely with the Education Managers to support the education staff.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Level A – Must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field with the equivalent credits in early childhood education with early childhood certification. The candidate must have demonstrated past exemplar teaching in a preschool setting. This individual should possess excellent communication and written skills. Must be able to successfully complete the CLASS certification process and maintain CLASS certification. Preferably proficient in utilizing The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and have experience implementing Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS).
Entry Level: $62,500 annual, Exempt
Full-Time Position: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
