TITLE:    Instructional Student Information Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:       

1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. At least three years’ of school experience
3. Proficiency in student information systems; PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, Excel, Word, Google Suite
4. Outstanding project management and organizational skills, and extraordinary attention to detail.
5. Experience working with multiple stakeholders, partners, and audiences and showing customer service
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.                                              

REPORTS TO: Chief Accountability Officer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality and professionalism in the managing of student data, school personnel, and other sensitive information.
2. Participates and assists in training of Online enrollment and registration set-up and delivery to parents & schools.
3. Works closely with schools to assist with master schedules,  including the setup of courses following the SC State Coding Guidelines.
4. Assists in the coordination of district-wide projects and events that support the integration of technology with the student information system, testing, surveys, accountability, accreditation, etc
5. Provides technical assistance and supports school and district staff regarding PowerTeacher Pro and other operating systems
6. Develops and coordinates implementation of an instructional technology training program to include electronic grading.
7. Supports schools with reports pertaining to transcripts, GPAs, and class rankings
8. Manages the rollout of report cards at the end of each term
9. Supports with the collection and inputting of data into the SC Enrich system
10. Assists in the collection of required data for the state accounting reports for the purpose of meeting state requirements.
11. Assists in designing various data collection projects and activities.
12. Collects data from different resources including related web sites, obtains needed data from   existing data files, and creates/prepares appropriate spreadsheets and databases.
13. Assist with PowerTeacher setup, training and support.
14. Conducts duties to complete report card delivery, term grade storage and the generation and accuracy of report cards and transcripts. 
15. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Accountability Officer.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  220-day contract. Salary and work year to be established by the district.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel.
