Instructional Technology Specialist supports faculty members utilizing information technology in support of teaching and learning. Develops computer training materials and assists in teaching how to set up and use computer applications and related technologies. Being an Instructional Technology Specialist may troubleshoot technical problems and train junior staff members. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Instructional Technology Specialist typically reports to a manager. The Instructional Technology Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The employee deals mostly with people, objects, and equipment in the educational setting. Depth perception and field of vision are important. The employee must recognize differences in sound, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative and must be able to differentiate tones and volumes in conversation.MENTAL DEMANDS:
