Instructor - Business Administration teaches courses in the discipline area of business administration and management. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Business Administration provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Business Administration typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Assistant Professor, Business Administration

    Aquinas College, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Business Administration beginning in Fall 2024. 

     

    This is a tenure-track position that will be responsible for teaching a broad range of various management and marketing related business courses. Experience in International Business and teaching graduate courses is a plus. 

     

    The Aquinas community offers a collegial atmosphere and encourages various forms of scholarly productivity. Candidates are required to serve in an academic advising role, and may be asked to participate in other related duties as directed by the department chair.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    ·       Contractual Instructional load is 24-credit hours per academic year (3/3)

    ·       Provide service to the department, college and community commensurate with rank and college accreditation requirements.

    ·       Engage in research and professional activities commensurate with rank and college accreditation requirements.

    ·       Engage with department student initiatives, clubs, and events.

    Qualifications:

    ·       Ph.D, M.B.A., M.M. or related Master’s degree in a business discipline 

    ·       18 Graduate Credits in Management or Marketing; ideally 18-cr in each discipline

    ·       Teaching experience and demonstrated teaching effectiveness: in-person, hybrid, online.

    ·       Relevant industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

    ·       Ideal candidate will possess corporate, managerial and executive experience  

    ·       The ability to engage with the local business community and build relationships.

    ·       An active research record with interest, ability and potential to successfully enhance an applied research portfolio.
