Pay will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient feels welcome
• Provide oral health care instructions
• Educate patients on dental procedures and post operative care instructions
• Prepare the operatory and equipment, set up instruments and materials needed
• Assist in the performance of quality, caring clinical dentistry
• Assist the doctor smoothly and unobtrusively through 4-handed dentistry
• Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs
• Maintain equipment and inventory
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• Adhere to all required OSHA and health regulations.
• Undertake lab tasks as needed
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records

Skills

• Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but not required
• Good computer skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
• High school diploma
• Additional certification or training is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
