    TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, exempt, 9-month contract, benefitted position. After a preliminary evaluation period, this position may become a tenure-track position.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Williston State College (WSC) is seeking a full-time Instructor/Program Coordinator for our Business Program. The successful candidate must be able to provide instruction and curriculum development in one or more of the following areas: Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Customer Service, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, or Office Technology. This individual is responsible for teaching courses and developing course offerings at WSC. The successful applicant must demonstrate and maintain competence in Business Administration throughout employment at the college; teach a course load of an average of 15 credits each semester of Business courses; teaching courses during the summer semester is optional for all faculty. This position is primarily on-campus with the possibility of some online instruction.

    The Business Instructor will guide and direct the learning experiences of students through the Business programs. The ideal candidate is student-centered and has a passion for teaching. Candidate must be highly motivated and self-directed. The preferred candidate is knowledgeable on curriculum and program development. The ability to adapt and work with others in a dynamic work environment will be an important attribute. The candidate must be able to support the mission of WSC.

    Responsibilities:

    Other college duties include advising students, regularly evaluating student progress toward course objectives, collaborating with colleagues to assist in course coordination, serving on select committees, maintaining a program budget, and being involved with decisions at the departmental and institutional levels.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Master’s degree in Business, bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with accounting concentration with a current/active CPA license, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

    Preferred qualifications:

    Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level.

    Well-demonstrated public speaking and communication skills.

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook email and Calendar.

    Familiarity with online education and Learning Management Systems.

    Demonstrated effectiveness in working with others.

    Experience with curriculum and course development.

    SALARY: $46,750 base with salary based on WSC Faculty Salary Matrix.
