Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Economics is one of six academic departments part of the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University. The Department includes 20 full-time faculty serving undergraduate economics degrees (BSBA and BA) and two minors (Economics and Behavioral Economics). We support graduate programs (MBA, MS Applied Data Analytics, MA Environmental Politics and Policy Analysis), and General Education courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Department of Economics at Appalachian State University invites applications for a non-tenure track, nine-month faculty position beginning Fall of 2024.
The faculty member will support teaching needs in Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics and/or Business Statistics.
Teaching assignments will be predominantly face-to-face to serve Appalachian State’s Boone and Hickory Campuses and may include some online instruction.
