Instructor - Education teaches courses in the discipline area of education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Position Title: Adult Education Instructor
Reports to: Director of Adult Education
Term of Employment: Full-time Instructor for Webster County Center including Webster County Detention Center (Flexible Schedule) - May include additional centers as needed.
Work Location: Sebree and Providence Adult Education Centers in Webster County
Compensation: Compensation commensurate with years of experience, educational background, and the approved certified salary schedule of the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative Adult Education Program.
Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a content related field. Must score within NRS Level 6 on the TABE11/12 A in Reading and Math. Knowledge of College and Career Readiness Standards and strong technology background preferred.
