Instructor - Electrical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of electrical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Electrical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Electrical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Electronic Systems Technology Instructors are responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for all students.
No teaching experience required. Training will be provided.The Electronic Systems Technology Instructor will be expected to:
- Have high energy level and ability to engage students
- Have excellent presentation skills
- Learn our practice and strategies quickly
- Receive and respond to ongoing training, development, and feedback
- Mentor and help guide students of all levels achieve their best
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as an electrician - low voltage
- Must hold low voltage license (T1/T2, C5/C6, or L5/L6)
- Must be familiar with fire alarms, burglar alarms, and CCTV
- Ability to use common software programs (MS Word/Excel/Outlook etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great interpersonal skills
