Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research.     Our client, a leading company in the energy and utility sector, is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join their team. As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department, supporting various teams within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for innovative design.

    Senior Electrical Designer
    Location: Omaha, NE
    Pay Range: $32-37/hr

    What's the Job?
    • Prepare detailed functional and physical design drawings for electrical equipment and related facilities (technical area plans, wiring schematics, and layout diagrams for power and control projects).
    • Design and run electrical circuits.
    • Select materials and create material lists based on standards and specifications.
    • Assemble, review project drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with accepted standards.
    • Participate in design conferences and field trips to assess project needs.
    • Perform calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity.


    What's Needed?
    • Associate's degree in engineering or a related field, technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
    • 3-4 years of experience in gas pipeline engineering, operations, or construction.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel; experience with Adobe/BlueBeam is a plus.
    • Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and procedures (DOT, FERC, OSHA, NNG, etc.).
    • Understanding of related drafting tools, procedures, and techniques.
