    Responsibilities include but are not limited instruction of all phases of the educational program as well as instructing students in all phases and levels of Electrical Technology.     SUPERVISION:

    LIOT seeks an experienced electrician to teach a variety of classes in the electrical trade.

    Duties

    Successful candidates are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in the following:

    • Theory of Electricity
    • DC Circuits Analysis
    • Residential Wiring
    • Commercial Wiring
    • National Electrical Code
    • Electrical Troubleshooting
    • Solar PV Theory and Installation

    Minimum Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will:

    • have a minimum of three (3) years of on-the-job experience as an electrician Required
    • high school diploma, technical/trade school and/or approved apprenticeship certificate Required
    • Associate Degree Preferred
    • have current industry certifications
    • Electrical License Required
    • other industry certification
    • be able to demonstrate competencies in
    • installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical wiring, equipment and lighting systems
    • troubleshooting electrical problems
    • following National Electric Code
    • performing a variety of commercial electrical installation, repair, upgrade, retrofit, analysis, specialty installation and maintenance operations
