    Position Summary

    Walsh University is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to support programs within the School of Behavioral & Health Sciences.     The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the other Administrative Assistants to provide support to the Dean, Physical Therapy Program Chair, faculty and students within the School. This is a full-time 40 hour/week position.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Database maintenance
    • Planning of programmatic events
    • Assistance with accreditation
    • Liaison with university offices and external campus representatives and vendors
    • Assistance with other responsibilities necessary to ensure smooth operation of the School of Behavioral & Health Sciences.
    • Other duties as assigned or required.

    Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    Must understand and support the Mission, Vision and Code of Ethical Conduct of Walsh University, as a Catholic higher education university as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, and possess the following:

    Education: High School diploma required, Higher Education Degree is preferred.

    Work Experience: Experience in a higher education academic environment strongly preferred but not required. 1 year of experience in an administrative assistant support role required.

    • Professional presentation and demeanor
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive materials
    • Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Centralized Application Service (CAS) systems and other electronic database programs is a strong plus
    • Ability to prioritize duties/tasks
    • Ability to track and meet deadlines
    • Ability to manage data
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities within the various programs within the School and across the Institution
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Ability to problem solve
    • Flexibility, adaptability and patience
    • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with charity towards students, staff and faculty. Positive attitude a must.
    • Ability to attend events and activities on or off campus.
    • Ability to interact and communicate with members of the University and others as necessary.
