Job Summary:
Provide leadership to the Industrial Engineering team in improving manufacturing and distribution processes and implementing Lean principles in Operations.
Essential Functions:
Develop, implement, monitor, and publish performance metrics in support of the Operations team’s Lean transformation
Provide strategic guidance for, and lead the execution of, facility layout optimization for more efficient material flow and space utilization
Using Lean tools, improve labor efficiency, increase manufacturing throughput, and reduce waste
Identify and implement opportunities to improve workplace safety and ergonomics
Partner with other departments such as Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Distribution, and OpEx to strive for world-class performance
Hire, develop, and mentor Industrial Engineers
Skills Requirements:
Strong understanding and application of Lean principles
Ability to directly supervise a department and also influence others without authority
Familiarity with operating in an ISO13485.
Familiarity with FDA QSR a plus
Must be familiar with PCs and Microsoft Office
Must be able to lift 35 pounds
Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
Minimum 5 years work experience in a manufacturing operation; leadership experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Industrial Engineering preferred
Master’s Degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
